When deciding what size Level 2 240V charger to get (16 amp, 32 amp, 40 amp), it's good to know the rate and how much power your vehicle's battery can accept. In your owner's manual, it's under "Maximum Acceptance Rate". Then look at the charging station. What is it's maximum output rate? If you have a car that can accept power at a higher rate than the charger can put out, then it will take longer to charge your car.
ChargePoint has a great number of safety features that make it one of the most widely available and used public charging station choices in the EV world. Safe for both the user as well as the vehicle.
The app that comes with the home charger not only has the ability to track and schedule charging times to occur at the lowest cost per kWh in your home, but it gives the location of every public CP charging station on the planet at your fingertips. Just plug in the location you need, and CP locations pop up instantly.
With the ease of use, of this app comes the ability to electronically pay for public stations where a fee is charged for energy. Upon signing up with the app and creating a ChargePoint account, each account holder places an initial balance of $10.00 into their account. This ensures that when the EV is out and about if a charge is needed, the nearest charging station can provide a convenient boost until you can get home to your personal CP.
How does it look in the garage? I've included a photo. It installed incredibly easily, the cord is long enough to allow for indoor OR outdoor parking of my vehicle. The light offers the added benefit of giving me a "glow" to follow when I get home late at night and just want to plug in without switching on all the rest of the lights to get this little task completed. The unit feels solid on the wall and provides a built-in hanger for the cord when the charger is not in use. And frankly, it looks really cool. My teens said, "Everyone else is in 2019, this thing is living in 3029."
Finally, the tech support: Here is where ChargePoint probably stands out among ALL of its competitors. Tech support is available 24/7 in multiple languages around the world. When in the United States, you actually speak to people in the U.S. who understand what you are asking about and come up with answers that work. There is everything from product support to driver support to sales to account/app support. Issues are solved in minutes.
It's confusing to see so many other Level 2 charging stations advertised as "best sellers", or familiar big name electrical device brands. Asking the car dealers and even the licensed electricians who would do the installation was not a lot of help either. There are less expensive charging stations, as well as stations that you can go to "big box stores" and lay your hands on them. The safety features, warranties, and near ubiquitous availability of public charging stations of the same high quality that ChargePoint offers make it clear why this home charging station is the number one rated charging station by non-sponsored evaluators.

I installed this unit using 10 gauge stranded hots, a solid 10 gauge ground, 3/4 inch flexible PVC conduit and water tight connections. However you choose to install it, make sure your conduit and connectors are rated for a wet location (assuming that it is being installed outdoors). I had originally intended to mount the unit under the house (in the foundation area), then run the cord through an external wall. The reasoning behind this is that I didn't want this unit to be a target for thieves, given that it costs over $600 with tax. However, the connector on the unit side of the charging cable is rather large, and would have required a very large hole in the wall, most of which would subsequently have to be sealed with silicone. Thus, I ended up mounting it outside, requiring only a 1” hole to accommodate the 3/4" conduit.
Having mounted the unit outside, I thought the 25' cord would be overkill. However, it is just right for my application, which requires the cord to go down to the ground, underneath a small gate, over to the car, then up to the charging port. Thus, unless your car is in very close proximity to the unit, I suggest spending the extra money on the 25' cord.
The ChargePoint software runs on my Android phone and my Wife's iPhone without a problem. The app is not ideal, but certainly functional and without obvious bugs. You can also access the unit via a web browser. Alexa integration seems good, but I don't really use it. Moreover, I only use the ChargePoint software/website for charge monitoring and power consumption information. I have yet to use the scheduling feature, but will probably do so in the summer months, when there is a significant difference between peak and off-peak hours for electricity consumption.
There are other chargers on the market which are probably just as good that will cost you a bit less. I went with ChargePoint mainly due to reputation and their large market share in the industry (there are lots of commercial ChargePoint stations out in the field).
If there is a possibility that you may need to use your unit outside (e.g., you plan to install it in a garage, but may later move your residence to a place where this is not an option), I suggest getting the hardwired unit. The hardwired unit is the only one that is rated for outdoor use, but it can be used indoors as well. If you have a 240 volt outlet and don't want to run new wires from your panel, just rig it up to a 240 plug and plug it into the receptacle. Again, this should be relatively easy for DIY types, but something to avoid if you're not comfortable with electrical wiring.

I do wish there was a longer cord option though. I bought the 25' one, but an extra 5-10' would make things easier for me (single car driveway, with a dinomobile parked closest to the garage since the EV gets used 99% of the time).
Installation and connecting to internet was very easy.
Do not use GFCI breaker with it though. It will trip.
App is also working good with it and is reliable but it is missing few obvious options that would make it even better. There is no way in app to manually turn off charging, app only uses miles for distances and there are few more things that could be added as well.
I’m really disappointed in the product and the lack of urgency displayed by CP. I would not recommend this product or the company making it. They still have some growing up to do, both in engineering, and in understanding their customers needs.
