I still love this laptop. The problem is that I've only had it for 8 month and I only use it at home and the cable is already damaged! Not the expected quality for that cost. Very disappointing.

The design is very angular, so if you love to cuddle your laptop you may have some time getting used to the sharp edges. Regardless of comfort, though, every single spec in this computer combines for a seamless productivity champion and a delightfully portable size and weight. The included laptop sleeve has a pen loop that no one talks about for the included stylus. This sleeve is a great inclusion that is not often seen provided by manufacturers and is a nice touch because it keeps me from worrying about my pristine baby monster power machine getting scratched up and dinged around in my backpack.

As someone obsessed with the effectiveness of a laptop to handle high expectations, The specs here are to die for. This laptop is not only sleek but packs a punch with the full package- an i7 processor, 16GB Ram, SSD storage (512GB no less)- all in one. I really have no complaints and think that at $1,400 it is a great value. It's hard to find all of those things for less - the only thing you may feel you're compromising is the resolution (though 1080x1920 is more than pleasing at this size and this doesn't feel like a compromise to me), graphics/refresh rate (this guy packs only options of 40 or 60 Hz), and screen size - but these things you won't miss, even if you strive for the perfect investment, like me, if you are getting this laptop not to handle gaming but productive studying or work with 9 different windows for your 9 classes or clients, etc, each with their own four or five tabs open, all organized so that you get your 7 million tasks done on time. I would suggest this laptop to anyone from a college student double majoring in some heavy study areas to CEOs. Honestly, it's that pretty and powerful.

For someone also looking for smooth sound while working hard, the B&O speakers and companion app do not disappoint, meeting my expectations and giving enough casual customizability that I can adjust my music or podcasts to my own desired sound. It's not super extensive, but it does impress.

To sum up, if you're on the fence about this laptop, review the specs one more time and think about why you're getting it - productivity and portability are good reasons in my opinion - and then go for it if it stirs your cup of tea! For gaming, look elsewhere for an NVIDIA chip and higher Hz refresh rate. For light use, cheaper laptops can definitely do.

But that's just my two cents. Happy overthinking laptop purchases!! Good luck (and I promise this laptop is a good choice!)

This HP laptop is an eye catcher, stunning design is what one would like to purchase it for coupled with lots of power.
Came in a few days after ordering thanks to Amazon. Its thin and loads of accessories.
1 less star for being little on the heavier side. At this price one would expect the laptop to be lighter as well.

At first I had high hopes for this as a powerful but very portable little PC. Since I have had it a few weeks now I’ve started to notice certain limitations with it. For one thing it gets very warm and it’s a little fans seem to spin up very high. It does this sometimes when it’s just sitting there with 1 browser open not working very hard. Another thing that concerns me is it super smooth case. It has little tiny rubber feet on the bottom but they don’t always grip of the surface it sitting on and I have caught it sliding off of tables a few times now. It’s super smooth surface makes it difficult to hang onto when you’re carrying it also. And finally the touchpad is difficult to use sometimes because there’s no way to tell where the left click and right click start and end. I have yet to really push this quad core machine with some audio production apps so I’ll report back after I do that.

I have had the Spectre x 360, 13inch, for a couple of months now and, so far, everything is working as I hoped it would. Over the last 10 years I have purchased an ASUS and a Dell and I disliked them both. The Dell was exceedingly slow. Part of that, I know, is because of the DSL wifi/internet service I use but it was also slow when I used other systems. I am no computer expert but the research I did indicated that I needed to purchase a computer with an SSD if I wanted speed. I settled on this HP because I also wanted a touch screen. This computer is definitely faster! Even with my slow DSL, it is considerably faster than my previous 2 laptops. The keyboard has an excellent feel and the picture is brilliant, at least compared to what I am used to seeing. I can stream programs and seldom do they buffer for ages as they did in the past. Oh, and the weight - it is light, not quite 2 pounds, I believe, which is almost 3 pounds lighter than the Dell. The only issue is that these ultra thin laptops don't come with many ports so, eventually, I will purchase a USB-C hub. But since I only bought this laptop for personal use, that is not a major problem. Would I recommend this laptop? Absolutely!

This machine is great and addresses any minor shortcommings of the 7th gen version (which I also own). Additional cores give it more processing power in certain use cases. The screen flickering which plagued the 7th gen version has not been an issue on this machine. Minimal amount of bloatware installed and what bloatware there was easily removed.

I had seen this in other reviews, so beware - the laptop itself is fine, but it was shipped without the portion of the power plug from the wall to the transformer (so, effectively you cannot charge laptop without it). I have contacted seller to ship the missing part.
