I've never been really mechanically-minded so I was a little concerned about being able to understand it, but the directions are very clear and you don't feel overwhelmed with the number of parts. The pieces are easy to pop out of the wood and, although none splintered, I do like how a small piece of sandpaper is included just in case! You do have to be careful when you put the body (bottom and sides) of the car together, since they can easily pop out if you don't get it just right. Now that the mechanical part is over, I'm really excited to move on to the painting! (My personal favorite part of any project). Overall, I loved this and plan to purchase similar STEM gifts or future family get-togethers or for the kids' birthdays.

I loved everything about this toy. Instructions are easy to follow, design is cool and eco-friendly and most importantly, it actually works! It needs direct sunlight to turn the wheels and the brighter the sun the better. I noticed the car moves a lot faster around noon and slows down as the sun goes down. If you are looking for something that will teach and entertain your kids at the same time, this must be it!
