For a cheap way to aerate your lawn this works. Does not go as deep as commercial grade aerators, which I understood when I purchased but 2.5" is maybe a stretch. After first use one of my tires blew out due to poor quality. Overall I'm not completely dissatisfied but if I did this again I'd search for better quality product.

I’ve assembled hundreds of things over the years and this is far and away the worst directions. The image on the box didn’t match the actual item, there was an added, oh, we didn’t say that right flyer, just randomly thrown in the box. Tons of left over parts. Don’t use the plastic washers, as soon as you tighten the bolts they disintegrate. Just dumb. Nothing was labeled, parts were everywhere when I opened the box. You even have to put a bolt in that will later be removed to attach the handle to raise/lower the wheels. Bad. Bad. Bad. Hope this thing works.

I live on an 8 acre forested lot, approximately 2.5 acres of which are fine turf lawn.
My house with basement was built high above grade, there is pit run gravel and clay backfill out to 90 to 100 feet, front side and back.
The turf was lain on about 2" of peat soil and come summer drought you can't plant a 3" nail into the hard alkaline backfill.
The landscape company has me water for days before he will come with his big gas powered aerator at $500 per seasonal visit.
I have rented a tow behind aerator but it could not carry enough weight to penetrate cores down to useful depths.
I saw this unit on Amazon and at half the price of the service call, gave it a try.
It is heavy gauge steel, well built, easy to assemble and painted to last.
I am over the moon happy with the results , it is easy to use, the lever to raise and lower it off the tines is rugged and well mounted.
It can support the required ballast with no warpage or bend. This is a tool I would recommend to any large property owner.

We received the product earlier in the week, excited to assemble and use on the weekend. We anticipated a lengthy assembly, which went well, but still took 3 hours. We bought compost and seed and other such tools to get it done on the weekend. After 10 minutes of use, the wheel assembly broke. This part cam pre-assembled and the wheel snapped off the assembly.
We contacted Amazon for a replacement wheel assembly and we were told that this was not possible. We asked for a manager and got a supervisor who confirmed they couldn't help us. They want us to disassemble and repackage a 150lb steel product and ship it back for a return or a replacement. They suggested we call the manufacturer ourselves to try and get the part. We can't find the manufacturer on line, and the phone number in the manual does not work. It rings then clicks, then dial tone. In conclusion, very, very, very disappointed with Amazon.
