One of the problems I've seen mentioned is the function of the mouse. I don't know if they've improved upon this mouse but my right clicking area is basically the entire right side of the mouse.. i tried to 'fool' it by putting my finger in all the areas of the mouse and it's split down the middle.. anywhere on the right side right clicks for me.. even with my finger mostly off the front edge.. anywhere on the left side left clicks.. (unless you're pressing the bottom quarter which no one does using a mouse).. But it works really well for me.. I'm not sure if others are 'spoiled' with supreme touchscreen phone or tablet technology (which I don't make use of), but the basics of this mouse work extremely well. No center click but you know that coming into the purchase I guess.. I never really bothered with center clicking anyhow, only to scroll with.. but the scrolling on this mouse works well without it.. you want it to go slow, make a small scrolling motion one after the other.. want it to go fast, flick it fast once and it'll take you all the way down the page just like the internet mouse the m325.
So this mouse does everything you'd expect really well, if you realize what you're getting when you buy it.. it's a 2 button mouse that also allows up and down scrolling.. and forward and backpage scrolling as well (which also works really well.. flick it right or left and it goes one page at a time every time)..
Like any mouse your brain has to wire itself to become used to the size of it, big or small this is the case usually, like anything I guess. It's not as curved top to bottom as i'm used to but it's a good size so it works fine.
Comes with 2 new duracell batteries.. which you can run the mouse with both or with just one if you want it lighter.. (not sure why anyone would want to run it with two unless you want a heavier mouse.. it's not hard to change a battery even every few months).. I can't comment yet on battery life but I will update when the batteries die the first time.
Comes with a protective case to store the mouse in which is nice to prevent scratches.
What else to be said of a mouse? it works well and is cool to use and quiet for a good price.. that's all I needed to know.
One thing I forgot, you don't have to have your fingers off the right side of the mouse in order to make a left click.. by default if any fingers are touching the left side of the mouse, you'll trigger a left click.. if you want to right click, then you lift your finger off the left side of the mouse.
The only problem, if I had to find one, is it takes getting used to the fact that the entire top edge of the mouse is the clicking button.. so you can't really rest down hard on it like you would on a regular mouse while you're navigating. Though it takes a lot more force to click pushing the bottom.. so in time you get the hang of navigating without clicking as it becomes more familiar to rest on the lower end of the mouse with your palm. But after a day of using it, it's become quite easy to use.. the lower part of the mouse rests right in your palm and fingers close to the edge.. or you tend to move it with your thumb gripping the left side and your ring and pinky fingers the right side with weight of the hand resting on the mousepad.. this leaves the other two fingers gently on top and comfortable. Once you settle into this position, it really is a great mouse and comfortable to use.. the problem at first is in treating it like a top button mouse, which it's not.
(if you install the SetPoint software for Logitech you have the option to enable the center click.. which is done by pressing on the bottom 2/3rds of the mouse with both fingers).. ton of other adjustments and options can be turned on or off as well.. really this mouse can do anything once you set it up.. in fact there are so many adjustment possibilities with the SetPoint, there really isn't anything this mouse can't do.. in fact I disabled the SetPoint because I found it worked better for me without it.. (i just need back forward up down, right left click) it's too hard to adjust smooth scrolling and speed for me.. with SetPoint if you adjust the speed you want the mouse to respond to your finger swipes, you have to do it that fast for it to work period.. so if you want to back page and flick too fast, it'll just sit there.. and you have to consciously remember how fast to swipe to trigger the function.. but without SetPoint, any speed triggers it.. which was better for me.. i just liked the default setting best without Setpoint so i use that.. if you need SetPoint, just turn it on and you have those functions as well.. as others will find the added options a plus.. it basically invalidates all the negative 'omg no center click!' reviews made by those who didn't install setpoint before reviewing..
*update*
May 2, 2014, just over a year into use and it's still working strong.. i've dropped it on the tile floor a few times and even leave the USB receiver in my laptop at all times (something that burnt up my old Microsoft receiver) and it's all still working well. The only thing I don't like about the mouse is the typical Logitech loudness.. the click makes too loud of a sound if you're working in a quiet room. Microsoft has their clicking sound and feel down and should teach Logitech a thing or two about how to fix their clicking.. Battery usage is really good on this mouse also.. i only use it with one AA battery and with daily use it lasts quite awhile..
The mouse is plug and play works with Windows 7. It will also work with Windows 8. The second I plugged in the USB jib, the driver installed in seconds and the mouse instantly worked. The software took about 2 minutes to download and then I was able to change some settings. Initially the pointer speed settings are very high/fast, but this is easily adjusted. I also turned off a lot of the key features that come along with this smart mouse, but that's because I like things to stay simple. This mouse DOES come with middle click features. Anyone saying otherwise didn't bother to check out the software settings.
I know some people suggested they had issues with manually clicking. It's important to note that this mouse does not work like a laptop trackpad or smartphone screen. It will sense finger movements for scrolling, but the actual clicking is picked up by a button that exists on the underside of the mouse. The button that picks up these clicks doesn't appear to be anything but a battery panel at first glance. If you want a better idea of what the button panel is, take a look at the customer photo gallery where I uploaded an image of it.
I personally didn't experience any issues with the mouse accidently right-clicking. Then again, once I had the mouse installed, I purposely toyed around with it a bit to figure out why others were experiencing this. My only thoughts on this are that they are heavier handed on the right side of their palm and this is causing the button panel to accidently detect right clicks. As another user stated, if I'm making a left click, my right click fingers are raised and vice versa. It might be worth figuring out if this is true in your case prior to purchasing the mouse; though I still don't see why anyone would have a hard time adjusting to this function.
The mouse itself is flatter and lower than a standard mouse. I've always used computer mice that have a high arch so that my hand sits in a cupped position. This mouse is noticeably flatter and there is no arch to it. This is the only thing that I have honestly had to spend time adjusting to. Again, there are pictures provided in the photo gallery if you want to be able to compare it a common mouse.
The mouse also moves as if it weighs lighter than a feather. The only time you notice any weight to it is when you manually pick it up and this is due to the AA batteries inside. It was shipped with two Duracell AA batteries. Once they die, I will edit this post to give everyone an idea about how long they last since manufacturer battery life never seems to be accurate.
Scrolling is smooth and effortless. The design is sleek and absolutely beautiful. As a few others have said, I wouldn't recommend this as a gaming mouse. I don't think any serious gamer would consider this to begin with, but hey, just in case.
The USB jib is also equipped with a Unifying receiver. In other words, that single jib can be used to pair up to 6 other Logitech wireless devices to your computer in an effort to save USB port space.
I'm very happy with this mouse. I definitely won't miss those manual scroll wheels that always seem to give out after heavy use.

* I love that I only have to move the mouse about an inch back and forth to navigate the whole screen. I never realized how great it would be to just keep your hand in one spot. It's kind of like using a trackball in that sense. (but it's still a mouse that you physically move)
* It's very smooth and easy to use
* The left and right "buttons" and scrollbar are easy to use (easier than my Apple iMac's mouse actually)
* You can go back and forth between webpages by swiping sideways (if you're not careful, this can be irritating because you might be filling out a form and accidentally swipe it - my iMac mouse actually does this quite a lot, this one is better)
* It was easy to install - plug and play. It also installed smooth scrolling on Firefox and Chrome for me automatically.
* Can't beat the price! I'm considering buying another one.
Update 2/4/14 - Unfortunately this mouse stopped working. It would not recognize it when I turned it on. I would then switch the usb port it was plugged into, it would install it again, then it would work. However, this only worked for a short while, and then it would happen again...until I ran out of new USB ports. I uninstalled and reinstalled and could not get it to work. I plugged it into a different laptop and could not get it to work. I ended up sending it back, which is a shame because I loved the mouse. I wanted to get another one, but I'm worried I will just have the same problem all over again. Logitech was not very helpful when I contacted them either. I had to go through the amazon seller to get a refund.

Doesn't work well with Windows 10. The scrolling has a lot of room for improvement. There are other glitches that occur from time to time.
Good try
