    The PlayStation 5 comes with less than a terabyte of storage space. That's hardly enough for you to keep all your favorite games, let alone record video clips, take screenshots, and save other data. The good news is upgrading your PS5 storage has never been easier, thanks to the secondary M.2 SSD slot that lets you add a second SSD, similar to adding storage to your gaming PC.The WD_Black SN850 is a bit more expensive than other drive on Amazon, but still offers tremendous value, thanks to its a faster 7,300MB/s sequential read speed. The 6,300MB/s write speed isn't as fast, but you should be able to save games quickly like you can with most other options.If you’re concerned about heat dissipation, this drive comes with a heat-sink to maintain safe operating temperatures, even under a heavy load. And it’s guaranteed to fit snugly in the small quarters of the PS5’s M2 slot. Plus, it comes with a 5-year or 600 TBW warranty, so this SSD is a great investment that (hopefully should) last you the console's lifetime.

    Works seamlessly with the PS5. Biggest pain with the install is getting the PS5's cover off. After that, it's taking out one screw, sliding this SSD in, and then putting the screw in the SSD's notch to hold it in place. Done. It is a little finicky; I had to use a bit of force to get it into the slot. One thing I did notice is it sped up loading times; this drive has to be faster than the internal storage, my Elden Ring load times are noticeably quicker, and the game has less pop in to boot.

    This 1TB SSD is a great addition to my PS5. I simply followed the instructions on the PlayStation site and it was very straightforward. It comes with the heat sink pre-installed so all you need to do is turn your PS5 upside down, remove white cover, remove expansion cover. Remove screw and nut from top, place nut in next hole down. Slot drive in at an angle, then place it flat and screw it in. Replace expansion cover. Replace white cover.

    Connect all leads and power on and you’ll be prompted to format your new SSD and even decide if you want that to be the new default storage device - handy if you’ve already filled up the console storage. And that’s it. Job done. Highly recommend this drive. I’m running Horizon Forbidden West on it and it’s super quick.

    Acheté pour intégration dans une PS5 comme SSD additionnel, montage en 5 minutes (déclipsage du capot de la console, ouverture de la trappe du SSD, insertion, remontage de la trappe et du capot).
    Après allumage de la PS5, le SSD est reconnu immédiatement et le système propose un formatage du disque. Un saut dans les options de stockage et les 1To sont bien présents. Reste à configurer le nouveau SSD comme stockage par défaut pour les prochaines installations. Copie de jeux depuis le disque système vers le nouveau sans soucis aussi. Après tests, vitesse de lecture et exécution des jeux à l'identique du disque système. Compatibilité parfaite.
    Attention de bien choisir la version avec dissipateur thermique lors de l'achat. ( Heatsink )
    Une valeur sure pour l'augmentation de la capacité d'origine de la PS5.
