No sophomore slump here... Billie and Finneas have mounted an exquisite followup to the first CD. Great writing, preternaturally poignant and barbed lyrics, and pitch-perfect production. When I first heard it I was a bit disappointed, finding it a bit "mopey"... but no. It sets a mood early on, and modulates that mood in perfect symmetry. Well-done. A pop power-couple.
