I have other arlo cameras that are solar. This one is the rechargeable one not the hardwired. .. I’ve had it up for over a month and still have not needed to recharge the unit. It usually starts to pick up the movement on my porch within 4 ft of the camera. Some other units may be better and pick up further.. but I have a secondary camera that picks up from the far right of my porch and sidewalk so I’m ok with the radius of this one. I had to get a monthly subscription to arlo to have certain features unlocked.. other than that it’s pretty good.

Built well, easy to install, and connects to app through WiFi easily! It’s used at our Air BnB in Galveston Texas called The Galveston Texas to monitor the front area as it is only 10 feet from a busy street where our guests am including us have to park… safe guard recording for vehicle and if anyone is needing to reach us quickly.

The Arlo video camera doorbell is easy to install even in brick, has a great picture, a wide angle and the app. is easy to use. The only negative is they charge you to use their app. for one doorbell camera and if you add devices the price increases. It is less expensive than their competitors and it works better. I just don't like the fact that I have to pay to use an app. when they already made a profit off selling me the equipment. The Arlo video doorbell camera is better than any others on the market.

It comes with a flat mount and angle mount.
Come with Ray instructions and also a QR code you can scan with your phone directing you to a YouTube video of all the different ways to install.
The night vision is very good.
Your phone rings and you answer (you can set to mute on answer or unmute on answer), you can pick watch the video and select a responds that’s preset “hello, please leave package at door” and other reply’s.
Note that my front door is about 30ft from my modem and 2walls so the wifi connection must be pretty good.
