    The future is here… these earbuds are a game changer. Three dimensional sound and complete ANC silence. I can’t believe how good these are. I’m shocked honestly. I must show all my friends, this is like stupid crazy good. The sound is so pure and magical it just blows me away. I’ve listened to $40,000 headphone set ups and honestly, these are bridging the line for $300. Wireless is future, we must invest and support the future of technology. As much as I am a hardcore audiophile, I have to support the future. These are also very good looking earbuds that come in a nice charging case. Very pleased with them and an incredible value for the sound you get.

    Edit.. We are going in for a third time on these boys. Not because I want to, but because they deserve it.
    !Using the personalized sound profile EQ is REQUIRED to get these to perform at their full potential but once you do, they open up beautifully like a decanted wine and turn into a different set of buds entirely. So my first impressions weren't spot on with just the normal EQ. (the other review clearly didn't take the time to use this feature and neither did I at first, they sound gorgeous afterwards.)
    After well over 30 hours listening time with these and going back to back to back repeatedly with Bose QC ultras and Jabra 10 elites... These are relentlessly impressive. I'm going all in, 5 stars.
    I will find myself saying, I want to know what this song sounds like with the momentum 4s if I'm using anything else.. So even my second impressions weren't spot on. The sound is just so crisp and clean with a stark separation between vocals and each instrument with sharp notes and rumbling bass (although i still wish we had an extra click or two of bass). You can hear every little detail perfectly. The jabras give you more bass, a more full bodied intense harmonious and louder sound but its not as clean and distinct. while the jabras have the passion, the momentums have the precision. the bose are just meh by comparison in everything except ANC and honestly dont compete well with either after extensive testing.
    These sound clean, crisp, tight, and full. It's like the artist is playing the music next to you rather than through a speaker. You can hear delicate parts of the music Bose and Jabra can't even touch. The momentum 4s give you a very pretty, intricate sound where the jabras give you a powerful bold sound, so depending on your taste and type of music you like, jabras may be your preference.
    The momentum 4s kind of dominate on pure sound with the extra EQ although I stand by that the ANC is average like sony/apple etc and isn't a huge difference between it being on and off. The fit and passive noise cancelling is phenomenal so you get pretty great performance overall, just not like Bose which is like turning the world off. Maybe someday other companies will crack the code like Bose did. The software is beautifully designed with lots of customization features, a very cool personalized sound profile which drastically changes the sound potential of these buds and you need to take the time to use it! Fully changeable touch features, other audio goodies people like.
    they are extremely comfortable over long periods, have a nice masculine clean look, touch controls are great and responsive, they connect to 2 devices seamlessly. zero connectivity issues, solid battery life, beautiful english accent to the voice prompts. case is great and i like how its not slippery as its covered in weaved fabric.
    they are encroaching on perfection. They could use a little more bass and ANC needs work. They don't get quite as loud as others but I just turn them up higher? You won't be maxing them out I can't imagine.
    if you really appreciate music and want to feel like the music is in the room with you and hear every detail clearly, these are a winner.
    Easily in the fight for the top ear buds in 2024. They could be the best for you depending on your taste.

    As the owner of both the Sennheiser MTW2 and MTW3, I'm not sure how I should rate the MTW4. On it's own merit, I rate the MTW4 at 5 stars. In my opinion, it is one of the best true wireless audiophile earbuds available today. As an upgrade to the MTW3, I give it a 3 star rating. It's a mediocre upgrade, meaning that the improvements are incremental. The MTW3 is excellent and the MTW4 improves on it but not in an "Oh, Wow!" way. It's more of a "Ho, Hum" improvement but an improvement none the less. Is it worth $300 to upgrade from the MTW3 to the MTW4? Probably not. If you already own the MTW3 and are shopping for another pair of high end earbuds, I suggest you look into the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay EX. The Beoplay EX is another excellent audiophile earphone. The sound is not as neutral as the MTW4 but carries a lot of energy that's fun and exciting to listen to.

    Getting back to the MTW4, I had no issues whatsoever with its sound and performance. It worked great right out of the box. It paired immediately with both my FiiO M11 Plus digital audio player and my Samsung S23 Plus phone. Once connected, I had no issues maintaining the connection. Music playback has been flawless. I had no issues playing back at 44.1 KHz using the aptX codec. I could not test playback at higher resolutions because although the FiiO M11 Plus and S23 Plus support aptX-HD, the MTW4 does not. The MTW4 supports aptX Adaptive but the FiiO M11 Plus and S23 Plus do not. The MTW4 supports aptX and aptX Adaptive for lossless and high resolution music. It also supports the standard SBC and Apple's AAC codecs. Multi-point connections were not an issue. I can connect to 2 devices simultaneously and control the MTW4 from either one.

    I am not disappointed by the MTW4 although it would have been nice if Sennheiser reduced its size even if just a little. That said, I find the current size and shape to be comfortable and can wear them without discomfort on a 5 hour flight. I think they are a good value and recommend them.

    I was forced to replace my TW3 buds repeatedly because they kept spoiling (3 sets in 1.5 years!).

    Sound wise TW4 is the same as TW3. The noise cancelling is also the same.

    Truth is - Sennheiser buds have the best sound on the market so if you are new to their TW series, you'd think it was worth the money.

    My only hope is this set of TW4 buds do not arbitrarily die.

    Note****: use ONLY the charging cord they provide you, and not any others. That probably killed my TW3.

    Verdict: really not worth the huge price increase. Buy the TW3. It is the same.
